Two projects=long days and nights.

So I'm working on a scarf and a two colored cushion. The scarf is fairly easy, a simple ribbed seed stitch. The cushion however is the challenge; my first experiment with entrelac. Joy; as if that wasn't challenging enough lets increase it by using a size 2 needle when it calls for size 7 and hoping it will com out fine. Oh, and did I mention this is for a wedding present, and the wedding is on July 10th of this year. I'm probably over my head. Perhaps I'll finish it though; maybe I need a strict deadline to finish my projects and not let them sit for years...like I'm doing with my King sized blanket/afghan that I've been crocheting for almost 8 years. My problem with that was I'd find one reason or another to rip it out and start over. Now I'm further along and refuse to rip it all out...so its sitting in the bag with all the yarn and I'm hoping I still have the hook attached to the loop.

Cushion (Thus far)=

Woohoo, I fell into the LJ trap.

So after all my talk that I wouldn't have a Live Journal for so many years, I broke down and signed up for one. Doubt anyone would be interested in reading my lame journals, but oh well.

So I do a lot of knitting and crocheting along with drawing and painting. Currently I'm working on knitting 2 tote bags and a scarf, crocheting a blanket and some doilies. Perhaps I'll post some pictures when I get far enough along. I have a habit of tearing out the yarn and starting over. Maybe once I've done a few, I may do commissions; that would be wonderful. But I mustn't jump the gun, eh? Have to finish my multiple projects to have something to show.

I also have to accommodate my 2 year old son, so I only get to do my crafts in the evening. Rare occasions when he's watching tv in his room, like yesterday and today. Its been so rainy the poor baby can't go outside. So he's been playing with his cars and stuffed animals, his tractors, and I've helped him more with his speaking. He's stubborn, he can say some things, but when you ask him to say it he always says "Un-hn," ask him if he can say it he says "Uh-huh." He's a cutie though.

So not too bad for my first journal entry. Lets see if I can do more later. ^.^
